Summer Ride, Whitmoor Common - New Surface and New Bridge Reinstates Access for All
The Summer Ride on Whitmoor Common in Worplesdon, which has for years been impassable due to flooding and a build-up of mud and debris, was resurfaced thanks to joint funding from the WDBA, the British Horse Society (BHS), Whitmoor Common Association, Sports England and Surrey Wildlife Trust (SWT). The WDBA worked with the local community as well as the BHS and SWT to secure funding to resurface and restore the Ride. The project took over 5 years to complete at a cost of £14,500.

Resurfacing BW423 by Whitmoor Hatch, Whitmoor Common
Notoriously boggy during the winter, this bridleway has taken an extra battering recently due to vehicles using it as an access route while clearing nearby fallen trees. The WDBA will be looking at resurfacing this section of BW423.
